Center for Children and Nature

logo-and-tagIn July 2005 the Center for Children and Nature (CCN) was established by Prescott College to operate the Ironwood Tree Experience, a project founded and co-directed by Prescott College alumni Eric R. Dhruv (MA ‘04) and Suzanne M. Dhruv (MA ‘05). CCN activities are governed by an executive committee of dedicated, creative, and influential members of the Sonoran Desert community of Tucson, Arizona.

The Mission of CCN:

The Center for Children and Nature promotes opportunities for children to engage with the natural world through support of place-based, experiential education programs and research that cultivate a culture of sustainability.

Current CCN projects include Ironwood Tree Experience and  GreenAudits. All new project proposals are reviewed by the CCN co-directors and the CCN executive committee.
