Get Outside! Application

Teens directly experience day trips to inspirational natural areas throughout the Tucson Basin, including the saguaro studded Tucson Mountains, Santa Rita Mountain canyons, the crisp forests of the Santa Catalina Mountains and cool desert streams. The Get Outside! eco-program culminates with an overnight camp out designed to accentuate skills acquired throughout the program.

Inspirational hikes and skill based activities activate teens’ body, mind, and spirit through mindfulness practices, hiking, camping, ecological and naturalist studies. Participants contribute to a community action project that allows them to volunteer with environmental and social projects in Tucson.

Eligibility ● interested teens, age 12-14.
Duration ● April 3–May 15. All  Saturday’s except Sat-Sun Campout

Fees ● $150 per teen participant
