GreenLots!

GreenLots! are urban spaces in which ITE teens and the community actively contribute to create natural habitat for youth and for wildlife. We believe that natural play spaces are integral to the creative development and wellness of our kids.

Teens are involved in all aspects of the GreenLots! project from research, planning suggestions and design to implementation and maintenance.

GreenLots! become part of the community as a resource for exploration, discovery and learning. The development of GreenLots! is accomplished by support of the entire Tucson Community and partners who invest time, resources, money and the actual lots!

Our first GreenLot! is the CountryClub & Broadway GreenLot! located on the northeast corner of Country Club and Broadway. The land itself is owned by a local family whose inspired vision of a livable, beautiful Tucson has made the Ironwood Tree Experience GreenLots! project a reality.

Our second GreenLot! is in partnership with the UA 4-H High Ropes Course GreenLot! It is located off the I-10 Frontage Road near the Prince Road exit. The GreenLot! sits on the east bank of the Santa Cruz River and is accessable from the Santa Cruz River bikeway.
